Stump removal helps to lower the risk of pathogens and disease, which has been growing on the tree, of being spread into the area. The removal of the stump prevents any disease, which was living on the tree, to carry on growing on the stump after a tree has been felled. The removal of the tree stump has many advantages, including: for aesthetic reasons, as the stump may look unsightly or obstructing an area.
